Building on the Selma Erwin Time Trial races we’ve hosted for the last 2 years, Bike Walk Baldwin and the Ocmulgee Mountain Bike Association are proud to present the Middle Georgia Time Trial Series. This race series is a fundraiser for the Old Capital Youth Cycling team and will feature events at some of the best trails that Middle Georgia has to offer. Race venues will alternate each month between Milledgeville and Macon, with the season finale being at Selma Erwin Nature Preserve on Friday evening before the 5th annual Red Clay Ramble on Saturday. The race courses will vary in distance and difficulty with each trail and will offer ample challenge for all racers. Races will be held in a standard time trial format with riders starting out each 60 seconds after the event start time.
We will host a kids race at 9AM before each of the time trials. So please bring your little ones out and let them join in the fun. All participants in the kids races will receive finisher medals.
Racers will accrue points based on their finish within their age groups with series awards being presented after the final race to the top 3 finishers in each class. A bonus of 10 points will be given to the top male and female finishers in each race. The male and female racers with the highest overall points for the series will receive a one of a kind Selma Erwin Beach Tree trophy while top male and female category winners will receive medals.
